Ali Mohamed ElShorafa Elhamadi writes: “And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”

Summary
In the editorial of Al Arab Magazine, the two editions: the Arabic and the International, Mr. Ali Mohamed ElShorafa Elhamadi speaks about the ultimate goal of the divine messages. He says: Allah created man on earth and sent him His messengers and prophets to guide him to the way of goodness and faith, and protect him from the paths of evil, seditions, disagreement, and conflict, to achieve the ultimate goal, namely the cultivation of the earth through societies that live in safety, peace, and solidarity. These societies live a decent life where rights are protected among people and mercy prevails.

This affirms what Allah said to His honest Prophet: “And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”

The way of goodness and the paths of evil
ElShorafa Elhamadi says: “Since Allah created man on earth, He sent His messengers and prophets with messages to guide him to the path of goodness and protect him from the path of evil. They call him to establish societies where safety and peace prevail and where justice and solidarity spread.

These messages assure that the target of the true religion is to preserve humanity’s dignity and protect its rights. It also directs him towards a decent life based on mercy, equality, and cooperation. Allah said: “And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” Al-Anbiya 107.

Following whims and fueling hatred:

ElShorafa Elhamadi continues his speech about the divine message that aims to build the land. He says, “By this mercy, Allah sent His prophets to guide humanity to the straight path. He warned them of the true enemy of man, represented in Satan, who seeks to ruin man’s life and push them towards falsehood and committing sins, especially those that violate man’s rights and assault his freedom and dignity, such as malice and arrogance. This leads to the fragmentation of the societal fabric, spreading violence and conflicts. These negative phenomena pose a threat to the stability of nations. They also weaken the ties between the individuals of the same society.”

“Peace Message” is a comprehensive methodology.

ElShorafa Elhamadi says about Islam’s methodology that establishes mercy among people: “The Message of Peace stands as a comprehensive divine methodology that directs people towards adhering to the higher values that were mentioned in the divine books, which were crowned by the revelation of the Holy Qur’an, the last of the divine messages, which represents the summary of the teachings of all the prophets and messengers. Allah said in His Holy Qur’an: “This Quran guides to what is most upright.” Al-Isra 9.

The Islamic message draws for man the path of goodness and establishes a society where justice and equality prevail.

It prevents aggression and saves man’s dignity, whatever his religion, race, or color.

One of the greatest marks of honoring Allah to man—He said: “And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.” Quran 17:70.

This honoring was not a monopoly for one sect over another or one nation over another, but it was a comprehensive honoring for all humans regardless of their beliefs or cultural backgrounds.”

The Claims of superiority and justification for committing sins

ElShorafa Elhamadi says about the claims of superiority: “Any claim that asserts the absolute superiority of a certain group of people and justifies committing sins and crimes against others is an invalid claim. It contravenes the essence of the divine messages that call for the unity of humanity and respect for the dignity of every man.

Today, we are in dire need of drawing inspiration from the ‘Message of Peace’ in our words and actions. We must realize that true peace begins within the human soul—when one breaks free from illusions, renounces fanaticism, and directs their thoughts toward contemplating the words of God with an open mind and a tolerant spirit.

The deep understanding of the purposes of the Holy Qur’an and activating its values in our daily life is the most suitable way to build a coherent society where the voice of the mind and dialogue rise above the voices of hatred and division. Allah said: “Invite to your Lord’s way with wisdom and good advice, and debate with them in the most dignified manner.” Al-Nahl 125.

This verse explicitly calls for establishing sophisticated dialogue, respecting alternative viewpoints, and abstaining from violence when propagating values and principles.”

Achieving Peace and protecting man’s dignity:

ElShorafa Elhamadi concludes this editorial essay saying: “Peace would not be achieved unless man’s dignity is protected and the rights of living, expression, and justice are respected. True faith is not achieved by claiming superiority but by doing good deeds, having true intention, and adopting attitudes of mercy and justice. The messages of the prophets—such as Noah, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them—came to guide man, not to make him fanatic. They also came to establish paradise on earth, not to ignite the fire of discord.

Let us all work together to spread these values, protect our homelands from those who call for division, and safeguard social peace through cooperation and brotherhood. Let us restore humanity to the status honored by God—as successors on Earth, responsible for building it with goodness and justice.”
