Al-Arabs International Magazine: The Newest Publication of the Center
Al-Arabs International Magazine, the latest publication by the Center, is now issued in English, French, and Swahili. In the editorial, ElSohrafa ElHamadi speaks about Islam as a religion that calls for mercy, justice, freedom, and peace.
The first edition of Al-Arabs International Magazine was published on the morning of Friday, August 1. It is issued in three languages: English, French, and Swahili.
The opening editorial was written by the prominent Arab thinker Mr. Ali Mohamed ElShorafa ElHamadi. In it, he reflects on the relationship between Muslims and the methodology of Allah’s law. He highlights the true principles of Islam—mercy, justice, freedom, and peace. He also notes that many Muslims are violating Allah’s commands and have abandoned His guidance and legislation, which leads to the straight path.
In his conclusion, ElShorafa emphasizes several key points that Muslims must focus on and recognize in order to be truly affiliated with Islam. First, that Islam is Allah’s message to humanity and is everlasting. Second, that following Allah’s commands is not limited to performing the five obligatory prayers or solely relying on jurists and interpreters. Rather, a true affiliation with Islam requires returning to the Qur’an and embracing its positive teachings. Third, that Muslims should not be divided into Shiite or conflicting sects. Fourth, the importance of doing good deeds. Fifth, rejecting injustice, refraining from infringing on others’ rights, and upholding justice.

The issue was published in English, French, and Swahili. It includes several news articles, such as a report on Trump’s dramatic shift in policy regarding the Ukrainian-Russian crisis by Hani Elgamal; an essay titled “The Decline of the Soft Empire: How French Influence in Africa Is Declining?” by Abdel Ghani Diab; and an article by Mohamed Fathi ElSharif titled “Al-Arabs International: A Step Towards Universality.”
The editorial board of the magazine announced that future editions will also be published in Spanish, aiming to reflect the Arab vision in all countries that speak these four languages. Additionally, the Al-Arabs Center for Research and Studies will organize a cultural event to celebrate this distinguished international publication in the coming days.
It is noteworthy that Al-Arabs International Magazine brings together a group of distinguished researchers and Arab intellectuals. It also includes heads of research units focused on America, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Gulf, and the Middle East.
The editorial board is chaired by Mohamed Fathi ElSharif. Other members include Dr. Mohamed Yehia Gheida, ElHaj Mohamed Elamin, and Hai Muawya Hassan. The team consists of Abdelghani Diab (Editor-in-Chief), Rami Zohdi (Vice President of the Al-Arab Center for African Affairs), Hossam Abo El-Ela (Vice President of the Al-Arab Center for Cultural Affairs), Hani Elgamal (Head of the European Studies Unit), Wael Hussein (Head of the Arab Studies Unit), and Editorial Director Hanafi ElFeki.
The editorial staff also includes Ali Fawzy, Editorial Secretary Hadeel Al-Masari, Director Ahmed Abdullah, and the translation team: Heba Masoud (English), Yousra Masoud (French), Dr. Moharam Ali (Swahili), and Saad Al-Shatanofi from the Language Review Unit.
